Writing Prompt Sunday, May 21st – Peculiar

color palette

Greetings, everyone!

This week I would like us to write something peculiar.

I will present you with a list of colour names and shades, and it is your task to use the colours as a theme, and the names of colours to create a peculiar scene – inside your poem or story , or any media of expression that you choose.

Here is the list:

albicant:

amaranthine:

immortal; undying; deep purple-red colour

aubergine:

eggplant; a dark purple colour

Interesting and some novel names of colours in there (for me at least!)

wasn’t sure how you intended us to use this… but it was fun. It reads a bit strained because I thought I’d use all of them 😛 and that was a challenge but well I haven’t been writing in a while (too tired) so it was good to stretch my writing wings 😉 . Thank you

Really fascinating prompt Oloriel – a cross between a “coloured” word wordle with surrealistic overtones; I’m sure you worked overtime to come up with the unique words and terms, and it certainly was a challenge to choose and cluster and create something with a “lucid dreaming” feeling – but I had a good time with it.

    Great job and thanks 🙂
