Friday Night Music Prompt #58: Constant Craving by kd lang

I remember when kd lang won their first Juno (Canadian Grammys) for most promising female vocalist, she ran on stage in full wedding regale and white cowboy boots. Her rendition of Hallelujah at the opening of the Winter Games in Vancouver, BC in 2010 still sends shivers.

Constant Craving shows off her vocals, and an exceedingly strange video.

What is your constant craving? Of the light or the dark side? Alone or with (an)other(s). By the spoon-full or the bar-full? Attention or lust? A pleasurable addiction? A dream or an obsession?

Can constant cravings ever be satisfied?

Be it thick or thin
Always someone marches brave
Here beneath my skin

And constant craving
Has always been

Maybe a great magnet pulls
All souls towards truth
Or maybe it is life itself
That feeds wisdom
To its youth

Constant craving
Has always been

Craving
Ah ha
Constant craving
Has always been
Has always been

Constant craving
Has always been
Constant craving

Has always been

Craving
Ah ha
Constant craving
Has always been
Has always been
Has always been
Has always been
Has always been
Has always been
