      • I understand–“sorry” is usually the first thing that comes out of my mouth; difficult habit to break 🙂 I just want to put everyone at ease, since we can’t see each other here on the blogs 🙂

      • true …. and in my case, being Canadian … as the joke goes …. we apologize for everything! 😉

      • Well I know Canadians are SO polite–I didn’t realize it extended to apologizing for everything 🙂 A friend of mine used to say I took responsibility for everything bad in the world–she teased, “so you were the one on the grassy knoll in Dallas” (Kennedy’s assassination). Speaking of Canada–are you a Rick Mercer fan? I’m crazy for him–his show is a delight; seems he’ll do literally anything to entertain the crowd!

      • generally Canadians are reputed to be “too” polite …. 😉

Ahhh … Rick Mercer … he is the absolute best! He’s one of Canada’s finest – sharp witted, well spoken and thoughtful, and willing to laugh at himself and turn the mirror right back at us …. perhaps that’s why we are so often “misjudged” …. we seem so easy-going and polite …. yet we can pack one hell of a snarling ripping bite 😉

      • Well, I’m very fond of Canadians–I live just a few hours south of B.C., if I haven’t mentioned that before; and the Canada folks I’ve met in person, and via the blogs are nothing short of Wonderful. I would SO love to meet Rick!!!

      • well there we go …. I do suppose there are some very distinct advantages when living close to borders, it can make for easy and interesting exchanges and meetings, without having to travel so far – and considering you are coastal – and that area of BC is a hub of international peoples … well, it can be a real treat 🙂

  1. Great visual image — also sent vignettes of a darker and more dire nature.
The woman reminds me of Drew Barrymore. “Thus, certain content/inspirations,” she winked.
Also submitted as Day 2: Reflections assignment for Poetry 101.
“Twin sisters of different mothers,” she jokes.

    • yes …. and thank you …. I had noticed certain “similarities” in responses and blog features etc. … but didn’t want to “openly” make any distinct references

glad that you have enjoyed and played along 😀

      • Trying to generate enthusiasm and energy to keep writing out loud. Characters created pull at my sleeve, but I seem to loose them in the dark when the screen isn’t glowing with a cyberverse background. To quote myself, “Sigh.”
No subterfuge intended. Miss[replies] in wrong personae, hints, and I must have a voice-print.
My one poor writing space needs a rest — 2009 to now is a long time. She is definitely tired.

      • I can understand …. characters, stories and kinds of things, ideas tug and twist … and yet … pen to paper or simply a journal or note scribbling sometimes just doesn’t help …. so … I’m beginning to think …. a “cyber” space where “anything goes” … however mundane, petty, whiny or simply brilliant …. “just for oneself” … if one permits …. might be the ticket to letting it all happen …. just because it needs to get “out there” ….
I didn’t think of it as subterfuge … LOL …. me? queen of the blog hop?! 😉

change can be difficult …. and when the voice is tired … it’s okay to try to let other aspects breathe and see the light of day … part of the “challenge” I think, personally, at least, is the “self-pressure to perform to a standard and conveniently typecast label” …. which is so limiting … so whatever works for you is fine and well …. just let it happen … it might make you feel better … less “under the gun” ?
