*note: this week Oloriel is supposed to be your host, but I’m not sure if she will be here, so in case – I’ve offered you this. If she does post as well, you have a choice.
Sunday Writing Prompt: July 23: Fly Like an Falcon
Today is the first new moon before the Black Moon in August – a sister pairing if you will – and although it falls in Leo, here is your story board to contemplate:
So, the quote is by Oscar Wilde (do you know from which work?) and the images are from Unsplash – The Falcon image by Alex Blăjan and The Arrow by Nicola Jones.
Consider the images – the quote – read them as you wish, a whole combined, elements distinct – either way, I suggest to you, there is much upon which to stop and think.
So take a walk in the shadow of the moon and listen for the stillness, dig in your talons and hear the whispers of the world, by day and night. Crawl in to the underbelly before rising into the light. Are you willing to find a path free and straight?
Write in the style, genre and form that most calls to you. Wing me a poem. Root me some flash. Walk a story intimate to you. However you wish to create and play is welcomed.
You have a week to participate. Please tag your posts with MLMM and Sunday Writing Prompt. And be sure to ping back and/or Link to Mr. Linky – he is so friendly and capable.

Picture of Dorian Grey — but I cheated and looked it up! A storyboard of ponderation.

Hahahaha – cheat away – I saw the connection because of a reference to Dorian Grey too – but LOL, there’s only so much stuff we can store on the hard drive! 😉
all kinds of potential directions here …. (cue evil laugh – but not in a cruel way, but a challenge is a challenge!)

As it should be!
I have been re-reading Barbara Tuckman’s Distant Mirror about the 1300s in France. Just finished a section where she describes falconry and how the nobles went with a falcon on their arm everywhere — even to church. Fascinating, too, how your rank determined which raptor you were allowed to have. Eggs and nests were protected — almost early bird conservation. But I digress . . . and haven’t answered your challenge.

digress away – absolutely fascinating! hmm … wonder what bird I’d be allowed to have on my arm? perhaps just a worm 😉 LOL
as for the challenge? it’s kind of difficult … a bit …. so no pressure at all – play if you feel like it, no worries and no hurries 🙂

I bet it’s fascinating! Love to hear about it – here, there or anywhere, when you have the time and energy etc. and if you’d be up to it – no worries, no hurries 🙂
