“Pillars of Creation” – image found HERE
Greetings, everyone!
I hope everyone had and spent nice, relaxing holidays.
For this week, I would like you to share and reflect on the first piece of creation you made in 2023.
You can, as always, share anything in any media – the only thing that I would like you to include, besides the media itself, is also as many words as you see fit of a description of the work, reflecting on the creation and inspiration behind it itself.
When you are done posting, please link up via comments and give a browse to other people’s offering.
And most of all, have fun and have an enjoyable Sunday!
This was my first piece for 2023. I quite liked this poem as it reflected the optimism of, and my fresh approach for, the new year…. Hopefully it continues….

I haven’t sat down to make any cards yet this year, but I have done a fair bit of baking to make use of the oven when I’m cooking something else. Different margarine for this last batch and they aren’t so nice!

I am still trying to master baking; there is just a certain touch that I do not think I have for it – while my partner bakes magnificently. I also am not very fond of following exact measurements.

The only time I measure my ingredients is if I’m making a victoria sponge cake, then everything is pro rata to the weight of the number of eggs I use.
