Welcome to my Sunday Writing Prompt! Do I have the words to express how much your support has meant to me? …probably. But, I’ll sum it up with a huge THANK YOU!!

My prompt for this week came as easily and unexpectedly as the others. Sometimes it just feels right, and what else to do but run with it!

You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain
Too much love drives a man insane
You broke my will, but what a thrill
Goodness gracious, great balls of fir

Great Balls of Fire can be interpreted in many different ways…a crazy lover, an atom bomb, soccer/football match, fireworks, perhaps a large meteorite on a collision course with Earth, or a man sitting far too close to the campfire lol 🙂

      • I appreciate you bringing this to my attention, Ron!! I took over the Sunday Writing Prompt, and didn’t realize there were any restrictions. I have just approved a number of submissions, and will do what I can to make sure this doesn’t occur in the future. Thanks again!

It’s a funny thing; I’d never heard that expression in any context except The Origin of Love from the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch. One line says “and then storm clouds gathered above into great balls of fire”… so I used that. But I ended up searching what it meant and I learned a lot of things.

So thank you very much for another great prompt 🙂
