Sorry for not being present

Dear friends of MLMM,

I don’t know how to reach out to you, but I have to apologize for not being present for a long time. Hi, it’s Chèvrefeuille, your host of the Wednesday feature “Haiku With …” As you (maybe) know I am an oncology nurse, so I had a very busy time through Covid-19. That’s why I wasn’t present the last months.

Here in The Netherlands it looks like we have another outbreak of Covid-19, but at the moment it’s still relaxing at work. So I hope to pick up my “task” here again.

If you are ok with it, I love to re-start the “Haiku With …” feature again on Wednesdays.

Sorry again for not being present for a long time here at MLMM.

About Chèvrefeuille

I am a Dutch haiku poet. And I am the owner and host of the weblog "Carpe Diem, a daily haiku meme" on Blogger (or Blogspot). I am writing haiku since the late eighties and in 2005 I became an international known haiku poet and in 2011 ten of my haiku were included in a worldwide anthology "Spasms of Light". With that anthology I became an even more known haiku poet. In October 2012 I started my daily haiku meme.

I didn’t know you were a nurse and on the front line. You have my utmost respect from over here in the UK. Keep safe and well.

I believe we knew you had some family as well as job issues. And real life must come first. To that end I am sure we are all glad that you are safe.

I believe all of us have been challenged with Covid 19 – In the US it all depends on location and unfortunately politics. There are some people who still believe this disease is all propaganda!

Depending on which science you want to follow, vaccines are (always) just nearly there… and the supposed three year cycle is either 1/3 or 1/2 over. So we still have a ways to go…

May we all remain safe, healthy and able to help how and when we can. It would be a delight to see your prompt again. But please take all the time you need.

Tbh I was merely hoping/praying you weren’t one of its victims. Seems you are one of the front line fighters. Thank you from afar for all the work you do. Keep safe and healthy; we can wait ❤️.

I’m definitely looking forward to when you come back! I did remember you saying you were a nurse, so I wasn’t too worried and certainly not upset. 💙

I totally understand and I thought this might be the situation. The prompt will be here for you whenever you get back so no worries! Thank you for all that you do both here at MLMM and in the service of humanity =)
