Heeding Haiku With Chèvrefeuille, July 17th 2019, Eternal Love

Dear friends of MLMM,

Last week I challenged you to create a haiku or haibun about friendship, this week I will go a little bit further on friendship … This week I have chosen the theme “eternal love”. I think you all will have an idea what eternal love means, but it isn’t only eternal love as in relationships, but also about eternal love on a religious base, or eternal love for a specific painter or author, or something else for which you can have the feeling of eternal love.

So the theme for this week you can use in any way … to give you an idea about “eternal love” I love to share “an eternal beauty” written by myself:

phoenix spreads its wings
after the dark cold winter night
finally spring
© Chèvrefeuille (2017-06)
In this haiku the “eternal love” you can find in the idea of the circle of seasons as illustrated by the phoenix that rises from its ashes … every time again.
Have fun!

About Chèvrefeuille

I am a Dutch haiku poet. And I am the owner and host of the weblog "Carpe Diem, a daily haiku meme" on Blogger (or Blogspot). I am writing haiku since the late eighties and in 2005 I became an international known haiku poet and in 2011 ten of my haiku were included in a worldwide anthology "Spasms of Light". With that anthology I became an even more known haiku poet. In October 2012 I started my daily haiku meme.
