Welcome to another chance to sit back and reflect and then write for the Sunday Writing prompt.
This week I’d like you to use this quote by Sylvia Plath: “I talk to God but the sky is empty” as your point of inspiration. Then choose from one of the 2 images below and incorporate some of the “paint colour names” into whatever you create.
Simple right? Challenging in a good way, I hope.
So:
So create a poem, short story, personal reflection. It’s up to you. Please limit your words to 400 or less. And no mash ups.
Add the tags Sunday Writing Prompt and MLMM to your posts. Then create a ping back and link up with Mr. Linky. You have a week to complete the challenge and please pop back round when you have some free time to see what others have shared.
I hope you are inspired! I look forward to seeing what comes of this.
So the quote: “I talk to God but the sky is empty.” Sylvia Plath

thank ya kindly ~ I think it holds all kinds of possibilities within the palm of creation ๐ (maybe that should be psalm? – oh how sometimes I AM so irreverent! LOL)

A smile and a laugh — I enjoy your irreverence!
Still “playing” with your prompt. Lines create themselves, then melt. Nothing solid to hang a coherent piece of prose on. Sigh.

You are most welcome, wildchild47. One day RealSoonNow (or at least soonerishly) I shall trek your site-ward and see more for my reading maw which clamors constantly for more to keep those eyes occupied. Something about brain-input devices which like a nail-head sticking up from a compliant recumbent board demands attention, no?

LOL @ nail head sticking up on a board …. does make for accidentally tripping! Ouch. No worries, no rush at all. Feel free to wander as time permits.

I am losing my perspective. I keep pushing it out of my pocket at most every street corner and the durned thing keeps climbing back up.
