Dear friends of MLMM,
Last week I challenged you to create haiku or haibun themed silk and sensuality and this week I love to a little bit further with this theme. Today it’s Valantine’s Day, the ultimate day of love so to say. On Valentine’s Day we surprise the one we love and there is nothing wrong with. Nowadays we surprise our real loves, but history tells us that this wasn’t always the goal of Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day was the day to surprise someone you had the crush on in secret and that’s our theme for this week.
This week I love to challenge you to create a haiku or haibun themed “secret love” and this week I love to make that a real challenge. You have to create a classical haiku which means, 5-7-5 syllables, a seasonword, a cutting word, a deeper meaning and an interchangeable first and third line. You haibun may have a maximum of 150 words including the haiku (written in the classical way as mentioned above).
Have fun!
When you have written your haiku, please TAG Heeding Haiku with Chèvrefeuille and Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie. Then add your link to the Mister Linky widget below.
