Heeding Haiku With Chèvrefeuille, December 6th 2017, everlasting love

everlasting love

Dear friends of MLMM,

This week I love to challenge you to create a haibun or haiku inspired on a quote taken from “I am fallen”, a novel by Scarlet Blackwell. Here is a brief overview of “I am fallen”:

Children’s book writer Jacob Bailey has retreated to Scotland to die in solitude, tormented by the loss of the love of his life, and wishing for an end to his suffering. In his remote house on the cliff he is visited by an angel, with history and pain of his own, a being who brings far more to Jacob’s final days than he could ever hope for.

And here is the quote for your inspiration:

[…] “My love for you will outlast this beach, this ocean, this planet. When judgement comes and Heaven finally falls, I will take you back with me.” […] (Source: Scarlet Blackwell, I Am Fallen)

Have fun!

When you have written your haiku, please TAG Heeding Haiku with Chèvrefeuille and Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie. Then add your link to the Mister Linky widget below.

About Chèvrefeuille

I am a Dutch haiku poet. And I am the owner and host of the weblog "Carpe Diem, a daily haiku meme" on Blogger (or Blogspot). I am writing haiku since the late eighties and in 2005 I became an international known haiku poet and in 2011 ten of my haiku were included in a worldwide anthology "Spasms of Light". With that anthology I became an even more known haiku poet. In October 2012 I started my daily haiku meme.

Thank you… I do still miss my mother who passed when I was so very young.
