heeding Haiku With Chèvrefeuille, August 16th 2017, everlasting love

Dear friends of MLMM,

Time flies when you have fun or when you have a busy life. But time never flies according to everlasting love. Everlasting love … love everlasting. As I look at myself I have found everlasting love in my wife and family, but I also found everlasting love in my passion … creating haiku … and in my work as an oncology nurse. Everlasting Love we say it easily, but is it true? Does everlasting love exist? I think so …

The challenge for this week is to create a haibun themed “everlasting love” and of course there are a few rules … your haibun can have about 500 words (including the haiku) and your haiku has to follow the classical rules as there are e.g. the use of a seasonword and the 5-7-5 syllables count.

You can use the above image for your inspiration, but of course you are free in that …

Have fun!

When you have written your haiku, please TAG Heeding Haiku with Chèvrefeuille and Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie. Then add your link to the Mister Linky widget below.

About Chèvrefeuille

I am a Dutch haiku poet. And I am the owner and host of the weblog "Carpe Diem, a daily haiku meme" on Blogger (or Blogspot). I am writing haiku since the late eighties and in 2005 I became an international known haiku poet and in 2011 ten of my haiku were included in a worldwide anthology "Spasms of Light". With that anthology I became an even more known haiku poet. In October 2012 I started my daily haiku meme.

I’d like it better if you didn’t include that 5-7-5 count…

I find it interesting that you are an oncology nurse and still think love is everlasting. I think it’s just a lonely type of love.
