In Disney films, or nightmares, or psychedelic ramblings, inanimate objects take on lives of their own: talking teapots; rampaging brooms; breathing walls; philosophizing couches.
Weave a tale from the perspective of an object, say something around your house, or within the broader world.
What is life like as your alarm clock or kitchen chair?
How does the train feel about the commuting passengers? The elevator, it’s riders? A computer, it’s user?
You might imagine a dialogue between a real (or fictional character) person and that object if whimsy takes you in that direction.
