Weave a tale in which a celebration occurs.
What is the occasion?
Why are you there?
Describe the celebrations.
Does anything go wrong?
It could be a New Year’s celebration, what resolutions if any do you make for the New Year?

This is a dark reminder there is a flip side to the celebrations. But something I had to write. No obligation to turn your smile towards a frown.

(Sorry Michael — it doesn’t suit the theme in the way you intended, I know.)

As you said it was something you had to write and that is fine as its your response to the prompt…..not everyone sees celebration as fireworks, sometimes its surviving one more day…

Thanks, Michael. When the depression gets bad, it is a day to day struggle. Sometimes, everyone getting together with friends and family to celebrate reminds me of just how lonely and isolated I really am. Being the depressive sort, such emotions don’t lift easily.
