Welcome to another edition of the tale weaver prompt 🙂 Today we are going to play with plants, specifically, Passiflora caerulea
This plant is commonly known as: blue passionflower, bluecrown passionflower, or common passion flower.
Some specifics? Native to South America, where it is a vigorous, deciduous or semi-evergreen vine. It can easily grow to 33ft or more. If not grown in similar conditions of its native environment, it can be used as an annual, although it most likely will not achieve its full glory.
Some common names associated with this plant?
Blue crown, flower of five wounds, southern beauty, wild apricot, Jesus flower, and Clock plant.
For more information, you can always search the web, and/ or start at Wikipedia – with Passiflora caerulea or Passiflora, which is the genus.

So this week – what will inspire you about this specimen?
Consider and write on PASSION FLOWER.
How? The approach you take is yours. Explore the plant, its history, the different names, consider some attributes – tendrils, twining vine, vigorous growth etc. Perhaps you will extrapolate and consider the words “passion flower” from a vernacular point of view.
It’s all good – however you wish to play. Consider it – your point of inspiration as you weave tales – in whatever form, story, flash fiction, fiction, poetry etc. The only NECESSITY? You MUST use the words passion flower somewhere in your response.
You have a week to play and participate. Please share your responses by linking back to this post, or creating a ping back, and please add your response to the official linky repository. Include the tags MindLoveMisery’s Menagerie, tale weaver prompt and passion flower in your posts, please.
