Dear friends of MLMM,
Welcome at a new episode of Heeding Haiku With … this week I love to challenge you to write a haibun. A haibun is a piece of prose in which you include haiku. The haiku doesn’t need to be extracted from the story, but it has to add something to bring the story in balance or making the story stronger.
This week I have a theme that you have to use for your haibun. That theme is “the circle of life” and your haibun may have a maximum of 100 words (including the haiku). To inspire you I have a nice song by Elton John from the Disney movie ‘The Lion King”
It’s a wonderful song and it brings me sweet memories, but also very sad memories, but that’s … the circle of life …
circle of life
Mother Nature’s purpose
for all her inhabitants
circle of life
blooming flowers, decaying,
will bloom again

Well … enough inspiration I would say. Have fun, be inspired and share!
When you have written your haiku, please TAG Heeding Haiku with Chèvrefeuilleand Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie. Then add your link to the Mister Linky widget below.
