Tale Weaver #64: May 5 2016: School Yard Games

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome and reception two weeks ago, when I made my debut as co-host here at the TW/FT prompt at MLMM.

So, let’s get to it!

Perhaps you are of an age when you remember playing all kinds of “school yard games” whether at recess or lunch time, or after school, or just around? One of the games from way back in the day was “Red Light Green Light.”

For those unfamiliar: the general rules, which of course, could be changed up, mixed to suit more challenging circumstances etc. can be found here.

So what’s the tale weaving challenge for this week?

Think of this game – traffic lights – the significance and symbolism, importance of them – and expand upon it, however you wish.

Ideas? Suggestions to get you thinking, inspired?

  • Explore the meaning and color symbolism of “red” “yellow” and/or “green” – broadly or specifically in relation to something, whether it’s about traffic lights or not.
  • Tell a tale where color holds a very symbiotic relationship within a certain society dynamic?
  • Walk the line of allegorical mischief in creating a new dynamic regarding meaning and symbolism regarding “games” or the specific colors “red” yellow” green.”

See the world through a new lens.

You have a week to complete this challenge – so think on it, write well, enjoy and have fun.

Share your responses by creating a ping back and linking up to the official linky system. And remember to tag your posts MindLoveMisery’s Menagerie, Tale Weaver Prompt, and “Red Light Green Light”

thank you for your response 🙂

Don’t be worrying about the catch-up, traffic happens, and there are no worries or expectations, so just take it easy. 🙂
