Hello again!
Welcome to another collaboration between my friend Sanaa’s blog “A Dash of Sunny” and Friday Music Prompt. I really enjoy working alongside her because she brings theme and structure to the prompt 😀
Connection to the Elements- Earth, Wind, Fire and Water- have always had a way of healing and grounding me regardless of where I may be. A way to sculpt meaning out of ephemera.
How about you? Does water move you to intense spiritual understanding? Or is it always too wet, cold and polluted for your taste? What pulls you close?
Wade in the water
Wade in the water, children,
Wade in the water
God’s a-going to trouble the waterSee that host all dressed in white
God’s a-going to trouble the water
The leader looks like the Israelite
God’s a-going to trouble the waterSee that band all dressed in red
God’s a-going to trouble the water
Looks like the band that Moses led
God’s a-going to trouble the waterLook over yonder, what do you see?
God’s a-going to trouble the water
The Holy Ghost a-coming on me
God’s a-going to trouble the waterIf you don’t believe I’ve been redeemed
God’s a-going to trouble the water
Just follow me down to the Jordan’s stream

I spontaneously wrote a piece about an event that happened in the waters off the coast here last week then realised I probably totally misunderstood the prompt. I got a bit carried away by what water means to me. I also probably didn’t mention the song properly. I’ll try harder to follow directions in future. 🙂 https://photographyplusblog.wordpress.com/2016/03/11/in-golden-light/
Oh, no worries over on the Music Friday prompt. It’s open to creative interpretation. Keep ’em coming 😀
Thanks Rhodia. I thought itbest to check. Some bloggers get upset if you don’t follow their rules. It is good to know yours are flexible.
