Greetings!
For this week, let’s sample some freedom!
Sometimes the muses need structure; sometimes they need to run free. So for this week, please write a free verse poem of about 10 lines. You may use any rhyme you like — or lack of rhyme. Any line length, any meter, any rhythm, repetition, or any other devices you like. Or – you may use none of these things.
Whatever you write, however – read it aloud to get a better sense of your poem’s feel.
Now for our inspiration:
You may write a shadorma in the place of free verse – or if you’re really inventive a combination of shadorma and free verse. The shadorma is a non-rhyming 6-line poem with a syllable count of 3/5/3/3/7/5. You many also choose whatever inspires you either from this post or use your own original work.
When you have written your post, tag it: MindLoveMisery’s Menagerie and B&Ps Shadorma and Beyond. And don’t forget to add your link to Mister Linky.
Good luck!
Paloma
Great idea Paloma … and Bob Marley is very inspirational! Thanks for the idea …

I haven’t written it yet … sorry …!
Struggling with the phoenix prompt which I absolutely have to answer. But the words aren’t coming. 😦

A phoenix prompt?? Hmmm–is it on your blog? No worries about the email, dear heart–we’re not likely to lose each other now–and I have a whole InBox full of “homework assignments”….heading for the shower… Take care of your heart, will you please 🙂

The phoenix prompt came from Carpe Diem; I’ve been absent for so long that it’s finally being written tonight. Phew!
Good luck with the homework —
Hugs!

I added this prompt to an existing piece which had more than ten lines…
But I added a shadorma (as a haibun?)

Can’t wait to see what you’ve done! Interesting using a shadorma ending in place of a haiku in a sort of haibun …
