Welcome to Music Prompt #3
Man, do I have a rare treat for you! A fellow blogger and I had a wonderful discussion about genres outside of the “safe” realm of Nineties music. Well I found a song from Ghostfire, a steampunk band popular in the UK.
Why should they have all the fun?
According to Ghostfire’s website, the song was originally dubbed ‘Calibernus’ which is the Latin name for the legendary sword Excalibur. The sword was thought to be irrevocably connected to the earth and forces of nature. It was renamed “The Last Waltz” in honor of steampunks who, caught up in the magic of Excalibur, waltzed like summoned men and women of old.
VERSE 1
Legends spoken shall never fail
Every deed as hard as nails
She never speaks, she never smiles
The journey’s end of a thousand miles
Rings on her fingers and bells on her toes
Music to haunt us she knows
As she goes
VERSE 2
Many years in a bed of rock
Too many turns of the season’s clock
She never smiles, she never speaks
The awful silence grows long and deep
Ghost light and candlelight show her the way
Onwards the dawn of the day
As they say
CHORUS
Stay with her, lay with her, carry her high
Swear an allegiance to things you can’t hide
She will find us again
She will bind us again
Lies won’t blind us again
Heavens bow to her reign
Once again
VERSE 3
Into her arms below the ground
Eternity never made a sound
She never speaks, she never smiles
The journey ends in a thousand trials
Rings on her fingers and bells on her toes
Devils and demons alive alive-o
Follow us close as we go
As we know

Here’s mine. It seems you used the same Mister Linky you used on the previous challenge, you need to generate a new code each time =)
Ooops! Lesson learned 🙂
For some reason, the video won’t play, Yves, even searching on YouTube itself. Might just be at my end. I’ll try again once I’m on my laptop imstead of kindle. Wanted to let you know through in case theblink is broken.x
It works on my end let me know if the issue resolves when you switch devices

Ah … Thank you. Very interesting. I will have to write something new for this… but it reminded me of another sword I created https://julesstorypageswhirl.wordpress.com/2014/11/22/11-21-c-7-4-the-ancient-sword-carificis-mlm-fariy-tale-35/ – Not Steam Punk, just a Latin name.
I will put my new post (when I write it) in the linky as well as in a new comment.

Turns out to be more fairy tale than steam-punk, but amazingly enough the one link is to another MLMM prompt.
Shall We Dance?
Mr Linky is going to a different prompt… ??? It is going to Music prompt number 2.
So my link isn’t in…
but it is here (or up/down) there in the previous comment:

Sorry. ..newbie here
I didn’t change the Mr Linky from the last one.
What did you think of the song?
Very interesting….Fits the theme.
Almost more punk than steam.
But it worked 😉

I’m debating what to post.
#1: for me, a shocking piece of adult-contented fiction
#2: The cleaner, non-adult content depressing stuff I usually do.
Time to start an adult/mature themed blog that doesn’t make me blush.
In my opinion I would put a “warning” on the adult themed post and have at it. It’s good to switch things up 🙂
