Heeding Haiku With HA – summer dreams – July 15, 2015

Hello everyone, Bastet here filling in today for HA who will be back with us soon.

Summer is the time when everything slows down … life takes on a new dimension almost dream-like.  So Listening to this piece of music, let’s write a haiku (or tanka) about a summer dream … will it be romantic … will it be fun.  You choose and if you feel inspired by one of your own photos or artwork, feel free to share it with us!

When you have written your poem(s), please TAG Heeding Haiku with Ha and Mindovemisery’s Menagerie. Then add your link to the Mister Linky widget below.

Have a great week and ciao, Bastet.

About Bastet

I love to read...I like to write...I've travelled the world and seen the sites. I'm past my prime and feel so young, especially when near the young. I'm writing this blog, to remember, to think and to share...with the hopes that someone else will make a comment that will stimulate new thoughts and pathways. Actually, I'm a gabber, so the logical extension of gabbing is blogging! ;-)

I grew up with this song as an AM radio favourite, especially of my Dad’s and later as standard “summer music”. I just wrote a short story with it as part of the post :).
Off to see if the Tanka wheels will turn. Cheers!

How cool … it was one of my favourites as well … and what a coincidence you’d just written a short story with it in it … happy hunting for your tanka! Cheers, Bastet

Just started … and it’s already 30° C … so it doesn’t bode well for the rest of the day.
