Heeding Haiku With HA: Water

The rains have graced their presence in my part of the world. It’s a relief from the stifling heat of the summers. Yes, there are puddles everywhere and it’s not every neat and clean. Still, I do enjoy the rains. And I love getting drenched.

In my country, rains are still the number one source of irrigation for the cultivated land. The water from the rains is responsible for all the food that comes on our table and all the fabric that our clothes are made up of.

This week, I would like you to think about the importance of water and that of the rains, which are an important constituent of the water cycle and write a haiku or tanka or both. And once when you’ve done so, please leave the links to your posts in the comments down below.

Have a great week ahead. šŸ™‚

  1. This is such an important prompt … one of the most important resources on our planet is fresh water for farming and drinking (which often is in short supply in the third world countries – especially Africa) Thank you for this great prompt.
