The rains have graced their presence in my part of the world. It’s a relief from the stifling heat of the summers. Yes, there are puddles everywhere and it’s not every neat and clean. Still, I do enjoy the rains. And I love getting drenched.
In my country, rains are still the number one source of irrigation for the cultivated land. The water from the rains is responsible for all the food that comes on our table and all the fabric that our clothes are made up of.
This week, I would like you to think about the importance of water and that of the rains, which are an important constituent of the water cycle and write a haiku or tanka or both. And once when you’ve done so, please leave the links to your posts in the comments down below.
Have a great week ahead. 🙂

Water is so important to life but sometimes it’s best locked up as ice. http://artifactsandfictions.com/2015/07/09/flight-or-fight/
Looking forward to writing this one!

Did anyone else notice the absence of the Mr. Linky gadget/gizmo??
I miss it!
I’m afraid it’s an oversite … I’ll try to fix that.
Well – these things happen – and I’m pretty sure no one is going to have a total fit about it (Lol – except me – but I’ve already pingbacked etc so, no worries 🙂 )
They do, they have and they will … anyway, the linky is up for usage and of course the pingback is always reliable!

And so it is we wait for the relief – sightless.
Here is my contribution: http://rebelleangel.com/2015/07/10/prompt-cleansing-rituals/
This is such an important prompt … one of the most important resources on our planet is fresh water for farming and drinking (which often is in short supply in the third world countries – especially Africa) Thank you for this great prompt.
