Fairy Tale April 3rd 2015, Tree of Life

Tree of Life (glyph)

Good day my friends,

Welcome at a new episode of MLMM’s Fairy Tale prompt. This week I love to tell you all a little bit more about the novel which I wrote several years ago. In 2007 I published my first novel, a fantasy-novel in the same sense as Tolkien’s Ring, but based on a lot of research of the spiritual (and occult) ideas of e.g. the Kabbalah (the mystical wisdom of Judaïsm). In the above image you can see the kabbalastic glyph “Tree of Life” with the ten sephiroth and Daath(*), the source of all wisdom and non-wisdom, or all knowledge of all times, but also the source of chaos. That secret (hidden) sephiroth was also the name of one of the leading personas in my novel, Da’at.
Da’at (in my novel) is the son of two ascended masters Ay and Tya and as he becomes 18 years he “unlocks” his magical powers which he needs to fulfill his destiny … saving Shadow-world, the world on which the story is situated. Shadow-world is built in the form of the Tree of Life, but no one knows that Shadow-world was part of another solar-system. In the novel it turns out that Da’at not only has to save his world, but he also has to bring the solar-system to which Shadow-world once belonged back in it’s beauty.

Imagine … you are Da’at and it’s your task to save the world, your world. You are a powerful magician, but there are also bad wizards who try to get at you, because they don’t want you to save their world … how would you act?

Tell your story in a story or in a poem … it’s up to you to save the world, your world. Have fun!

About Chèvrefeuille

I am a Dutch haiku poet. And I am the owner and host of the weblog "Carpe Diem, a daily haiku meme" on Blogger (or Blogspot). I am writing haiku since the late eighties and in 2005 I became an international known haiku poet and in 2011 ten of my haiku were included in a worldwide anthology "Spasms of Light". With that anthology I became an even more known haiku poet. In October 2012 I started my daily haiku meme.

My piece is inspired by your fairy tale prompt, but doesn’t answer the questions, nor introduce the tree of life, or a solar-system in need of help.
