A dose of fetish. Good friends. An incomparable muse.

Tale Weaver Prompt #6: Ghosts in the Photographs

When you took your selfie, the red image did not replace you. Now it does.

Tale Weaver Prompt #6: Ghosts in the Photographs

One of the best features of your new smart phone is the quality of the camera. The lens captures texture, colours, light and shadow, the nuisances. You decide to create a visual journal of your life. Two shots – one looking outward, then you turn and take a selfie.

You are scrolling through your latest photos, and you notice something strange with one of the selfies. Something not visible/there when you took the picture.

Imagine why/where you were when you took the selfie. Somewhere familiar or new. Alone or with friends. Inside or outside. Special occasion. Just clowning around.

Any number of things might be the “extra” element in your selfie: ghost(s); ghost(s) from your past; an alien being; another person; someone who shouldn’t be there; fairies, elves or ogres; a portal; an object; a crime.

There is no word limit. You can write this as a diary entry; an (un)comfortable discussion with friends; emails or text messages; journal entry; tale; talk/presentation to paranormal society.

You’re spending time in the tale weaver’s playground. Have fun.

I hope folks have fun with this! Bastet’s post, The Murales (written for prompt #4: fictionalizing was part of the inspiration for this prompt!

I don’t have a smart phone. The picture was taken by regular camera about 5 years ago. I took a lot of pictures in my mother’s bath room because of the mirrors opposite each other.
Thanks for coming by and wishing us well. Take care!
