Fairy Tale March 20th 2015

Paradise concept.
Welcome at a new episode of MLMM’s Fairy Tale prompt. It’s really a pleasure to be part of MLMM and be the host for the Fairy Tale prompt. I am grateful to MLMM that they have given me the opportunity to host part of their wonderful weblogging community.

Here in The Netherlands we have a great TV-show and if I am correct this TV-show is on TV in several other countries around the globe. In this TV-show a group of fifteen is challenged to built their Utopia. In my country Utopia is a big success, but what is Utopia?
Utopia (Libellus vere aureus, nec minus salutaris quam festivus, de optimo rei publicae statu deque nova insula Utopia) is a work of fiction and political philosophy by Thomas More (1478–1535) published in 1516 in Latin. The book is a frame narrative primarily depicting a fictional island society and its religious, social and political customs.

It’s all about the perfect society and that’s the theme for this Fairy Tale prompt. Describe your Utopia and feel free to bring in all kinds of creatures you know from fairy tales. How does your Utopia look, are there rules? Is it an island (as was it in the original novel by More). Or is it a new paradise full of magic and mystery?

Feel free to write a short story or poem and share it with us.

When you’re done, TAG the post Fairy Tale Prompt and MindLoveMisery’s Menagerie, and add your link to the Mister Linky widget. If you can link to this post – allowing a Pingback – that would be helpful too. We don’t want to miss your post if the widget isn’t functioning properly.

About Chèvrefeuille

I am a Dutch haiku poet. And I am the owner and host of the weblog "Carpe Diem, a daily haiku meme" on Blogger (or Blogspot). I am writing haiku since the late eighties and in 2005 I became an international known haiku poet and in 2011 ten of my haiku were included in a worldwide anthology "Spasms of Light". With that anthology I became an even more known haiku poet. In October 2012 I started my daily haiku meme.

Interesting prompt. I took a slightly different take — but then, I tend to!
