Bastet’s Shadorma Photo Prompt – September 27, 2014

Today I’m going to give you two photographs to choose from:

This week I’d like to try with the Acrostic again along with our usual Shadorma form.

What is a Shadorma?  Shadorma is a Spanish 6-line poem of 3/5/3/3/7/5 syllable lines respectively.  Simple as that.

An Acrostic is a poem where the first word of each line creates a word when read …  here’s an example using the second photograph (I’m concentrating on the ladder):

Laden with burdens,
Angst and anxiety …
Down to Gehenna,
Dreamily I strode,
Ernestly hoping some day to,
Return to my home …  saved.

You can use the photos to inspire you to write a poem or choose one of your own.  Not interested in either the Shadorma or poetry but you like the photo and feel inspired?  No problem … go for it!

Once you’ve written your post, put your link on Mr. Linky and be sure to tag … Mindlovesmisery’s Menagerie and Bastet’s Shadorma Prompt!

Have fun and have a great week!  Bastet

About Georgia

I love to read...I like to write...I've travelled the world and seen the sites. I'm past my prime and feel so young, especially when near the young. I'm writing this blog, to remember, to think and to share...with the hopes that someone else will make a comment that will stimulate new thoughts and pathways. Actually, I'm a gabber, so the logical extension of gabbing is blogging! ;-)

Nah … complicated, believe me is something else. However, I know what you mean .. I sometimes feel daunted when I look at poetry forms and their instructions.
