Shadorma Photo Prompt – July 12, 2014

Hello Folks!

Let’s see what my archives can pull out for you!

Use the photograph to stimulate your muse, or if you’re an artist or photographer choose one of your own works to help you write a shadorma.

Just o add to the fun I thought I’d zest the shadorma with another micropoem as an “intermezzo” if you’d like to try it out.

But before I do that remember that a shadorma is composed of six non-rhyming lines (sestina or sextet) and the syllable pattern is 3-5-3-3-7-5.  It can have as many stanzas as you like, just as long as each stanza follows the syllable pattern mentioned above .  You have a week to create you poems so be patient and let the photo inspire you!  Or use your own photograph or art work!

This week’s extra is an interesting little shape poem called a laturne poem … the shape a Japanese lantern!  It’s very simple indeed it has 5 lines. The syllable count is 1-2-3-4-1.  Here’s an example:

on the path
up to heaven

Cute n’est pas?

Have a nice week!  Bastet!

About Georgia

I love to read...I like to write...I've travelled the world and seen the sites. I'm past my prime and feel so young, especially when near the young. I'm writing this blog, to remember, to think and to share...with the hopes that someone else will make a comment that will stimulate new thoughts and pathways. Actually, I'm a gabber, so the logical extension of gabbing is blogging! ;-)

I didn’t write a Shadorma so I’m not linky-ing, but the picture was perfect for the story I published here.
