This week’s prompt is indescribable frustration
When I was a child my report cards were full of comments like “Yves gets frustrated easily” “Yves gets upset when she can’t complete an assigned task” “Yves is easily overwhelmed” “Yves is easily discouraged…” Frustration is something I still experience on a daily basis. My nervous system overreacts to stimuli and I’ve found no surefire means to minimize my condition. For most people frustration is a fairly common occurrence triggered by fast-paced lifestyles and spiritual laxity/emotional constipation. Many people push themselves mercilessly to perform in jobs they don’t particularly enjoy. Rather than go with the flow we try to control our environments and even the people sharing space with us. Whenever we are faced with a personal weakness or an obstacle that we cannot thwart we get frustrated. Having disabilities I am constantly battling with my weaknesses, constantly trying to fill in performance gaps, and constantly trying to scrap out some meager sense of accomplishment. What frustrates you?
Great prompt Yves, I’ll see what I can do.
